Here Are All The Horribly Irresponsible Choices You All Made In The Fourth Episode Of ‘The Walking Dead’

Published

on

The fourth episode in Telltale Games’ episodic series based on The Walking Dead is pretty good. It isn’t the strongest episode in the series, but even then, it offers more substance than most 20+ hour retail games. If you have an iPhone or iPad and haven’t checked out this episode, you should definitely jump on it now that it’s available for iOS devices. Just grab The Walking Dead: The Game app for a paltry $4.99 and get yourself the fourth episode in what continues to be one of the best zombie games ever. I also recommend checking out the player stats video I have patiently waiting for you after the break.

Oh, and if you haven’t played Episode 4 yet, don’t watch this video. It’s brimming with spoilers.

When I play these games I try to make the decisions I would make if I were actually in the situation. One of the more difficult decisions I had to make was deciding whether to leave Clementine in the relative safety of the house, or take her with the group into the unknown dangers of Crawford. I’m a little surprised that 74% of you made the same choice as me and took her along, but it does make me feel just a little bit better about that decision. Thanks for that.

Legendary Grimdark ‘Warhammer 40,000’ Artist John Blanche Has Passed Away at 78

In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, but it was a cheerful illustrator from England who helped to define the terrifying war-torn imagery that inspired what we now know as Grimdark (a hybrid genre combining horror with sci-fi/fantasy).

Unfortunately for fans of Warhammer 40,000, Trench Crusade and countless other sources of Grimdark thrills, veteran artist John Blanche passed away this week after struggling with health issues for the past few years.

While the artist retired back in 2023, he leaves us with an enormous legacy of iconic artwork that continues to inspire gamers and storytellers around the world to this very day.

The news is especially gloomy as it was only last year that Daniel Lowman and Napoleon Dynamite himself Jon Heder released The Grim & the Dark: The Search for John Blanche, a documentary following Heder’s exploration of the Grimdark genre culminating in a heartwarming encounter with Blanche in his own home.

Below is one of my favorite pieces by Blanche, his highly influential depiction of Warhammer 40k’s God-Emperor of Mankind on his Golden Throne.

We send our deepest condolences to John Blanche’s family, friends, and fans.
