[TV] Everyone From Season 1 Wants To Be Back On “American Horror Story: Coven”

Published

Maybe I’m not the only one who likes “American Horror Story: Coven” more than the prior installment, “Asylum.” It feels like a lot of Season 1 actors are lobbying to return to the show. First it was Dylan McDermott, and now Connie Britton (who played McDermott’s wife Vivien in the first season) has expressed a desire to come back in some capacity.

She tells Rolling Stone, ““I’m like, ‘I’ll put that on and jump on a plane and go to New Orleans. Yes, I would do that. As long as we can figure it out with both productions, I’m in. I hope it happens.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up. It sounds like she was asked sort of a pie-eyed question and is giving sort of a “fun” answer. Even if “Coven” is still shooting, I imagine that they have their season arc pretty much nailed down. Though it does seem they like to improvise!

“American Horror Story: Coven” stars Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Alexandra Breckenridge, Christine Ebersole, Danny Huston and Lily Rabe.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
