That’s right — Alien: Isolation was finally *officially* unveiled, and it looks like a traumatizing blend of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Outlast, only set in outer space where you’re hunted by a particularly scary looking xenomorph. If you’re not already thoroughly pumped for this, I suggest you watch this trailer.
Also, while I totally understand being hesitant about Isolation in a world forever altered by the supremely shitty Colonial Marines, try and remember that this is an almost entirely unrelated project developed by a completely different studio (Total War dev Creative Assembly).
It’s tough narrowing down an already impressive list of upcoming horror games to just ten. A few are going to miss the cut, and that’s why they deserve an honorable mention. This doesn’t make them any less exciting or any less worthy of your attention. The games I almost included among the titles listed above are Until Dawn, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Fran Bow, Darkwood, Asylum, Paranormal: The Town, Neverending Nightmares, and Dark Souls II, because they all look great.
