Norman Bates clearly has some mommy issues. When your mother becomes an actual personality within your mind, doing whatever it takes to keep your son “safe”, then this mother has gone well above and beyond her maternal duties and crossed the line into the definitive area known as “Oh my god, you’re batshit crazy.”
