Ed Brubaker is the master of contemporary noir comics. He and his partner in crime, Sean Phillips, have a new 40s style homage on the way this August titled “The Fade Out”. The book will take place in Hollywood and will follow a screenwriter with PTSD and a movie star’s suspicious death. It sounds like a tale Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett would be proud of and I can’t wait for this.
