Quote from guitarist James Cilano:

The concept for the ‘No, Yes… No’ video stemmed from the desire to showcase the anxiety of wrestling your true passions with the minutia of living a 9-5 life. Our dreams are what should truly drive us, and indecision can entrap us somewhere we don’t really want to be. With no budget and 2 locations, we’re proud of how everything came to fruition. Also, we got to cover our singer in tons of blood, so that’s always a great time.

Quote from director Alex DiVincenzo:

I’m very happy to have worked with my good friends in Scholar on my first music video. Armed with only my camera and a bucket of blood, we set out to make a video for fun – and I think we succeeded. We wanted to do something more interesting than the typical band-playing-in-a-room video, so we hatched an idea inspired by The Twilight Zone. But I still wanted to showcase the band’s energetic performance, so we spent a night filming them playing the song ad nauseum in their dingy practice space during a snow storm with no heat.
