Death is coming for every one of us. As the Final Destination films have taught us, there’s no escaping it, because eventually time will slowly guide every one of us to our inevitable doom. Watching this video seems to have sped up the process for me, because after watching these kids react to the original Game Boy, I can’t help but feel a few decades older than I did when I woke up this morning. It took a paltry sixty seconds for me to go from being sprightly and full of hope to a hollow husk of a man.
I can feel Death’s skeletal hands creeping toward me, waiting to grab my shoulders in its ice-cold grip so it can drag me kicking and screaming into wherever it is we all go when we die.
