When A&E announced they were recreating Norman Bates’ basement on the SDCC show floor, we thought it sounded pretty cool; and now that we’ve toured it, we can assure you that it is! Check out our image gallery along with Season 3’s teaser art.

“Bates Motel’s” Comic-Con exhibit, which allows fans to interact with the taxidermy studio, contains props similar to those used on the set of the series. It also provides an opportunity to create a custom GIF with the infamous taxidermic bird inspired by the world of Alfred Hitchcock.

Fans can pick up a “Bates Motel” themed temporary tattoo designed by the geek-loving artists from A&E’s upcoming series “Epic Ink.”

You’ll find the basement in Booth #4016/4018. Just look for the big “Bates Motel” sign!

The booth will be open during the following times:

Thursday, July 24: 9:30 am-7:00 pm
Friday, July 25: 9:30 am-7:00 pm
Saturday, July 26: 9:30 am-7:00 pm
Sunday, July 27: 9:30 am-5:00 pm

They will be joined by executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin for a thought-provoking panel discussion about the critically acclaimed drama on Friday, July 25th, from 3:30-4:30 pm in Room 6A.
