Progressive/tech metal band Periphery have released a new song entitled “The Bad Thing”, which you can listen to below. The band will be releasing two albums on January 27th in the form of Juggernaut:Alpha and Juggernaut:Omega. This new song comes from Omega.
Personally, I’m not digging the new songs that the band has released. They don’t have that energy and melodic immediacy that Periphery II: This Time It’s Personal had. Here, it feels a bit more generic and simple, lacking the excitement that the band used to exude.
The band will be embarking on a tour with Wovenwar and Nothing More in early 2015. Tour dates can be found below.
