[TV] “American Horror Story” to Be Reinvented Next Season…

If you’ve been watching “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” then you know the FX series is getting bit stale. It’s a bit unfortunate as the first three seasons were pretty damn spectacular – but it’s clear something’s broken, which means it’s time to fix it.

FX Networks CEO John Landgraf tells TVLine Sunday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour changes are coming, alerting us to internal debate over the direction of the Ryan Murphy-created anthology series. He also knows that the arc is for the fifth season, (presumably) returning this October.

“I know what it is, but I can’t [say],” said Landgraf. “I have to let [series boss] Ryan [Murphy] do his thing on that. But it’s very different.”

Landgraf went on to say of the franchise, “One of the things I love so much about that is that it can be radically, radically reinvented in terms of tone, setting, period, characters, cast.” And along those lines, “I think there’s going to be an unusually large reinvention in between Book 4 and Book 5 relative to, say, between Book 3 [Coven] and 4 [Freak Show].”

And while he knows that the fifth season will be present day, he has no clarity on whether or not Jessica Lange will return.

“Ryan is really, really independent in how he makes these shows and what he does. So I know the setting, I know something about the characters and something about the tone and the time period, but I don’t actually know the cast yet.”

A wild marketing stunt this morning saw Paramount launching the official trailer for Transformers One off into space, but don’t worry, you don’t need to put on a spacesuit in order to watch it. The official trailer for the brand new animated movie is now available online.

Every Transformer has an origin. Watch the Transformers One trailer below.

In theaters September 20, Transformers One is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies. But they once were friends, bonded like brothers, who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.

In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, Transformers One features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, and Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.

Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) directed the film from a script by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.
