With the “Preacher” series going to pilot at AMC, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are hard at work developing out the adaptation of the incredible comic book series.
Having a bit of fun with fans, Rogan tweeted out of stack of movies they’re using as inspiration for the new show based on Ennis and Steve Dillon’s ’90s comic book series “about Jesse Custer, a preacher in a Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend and an Irish vampire, the three embark on a journey to find God…and make him answer for his sins.”
Taking a look below, you’ll see a stack of movies that include everything from The Raid to the Kill Bill films.
Fans of “Preacher” should be excited by the photo as it looks like they’re aiming to make some sort of Spaghetti Western, with insane action and strong dialogue. Having read through “Preacher” more than a dozen times, there’s a very Tarantino-like appeal to the books, so it’s nice to see Kill Bill in said stack. Which excites or surprises you the most?
