Dracula Untold‘s Dominic Cooper, pictured, is signed on to star as Jesse Custer in AMC’s “Preacher”!

Cooper will play Custer, a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says.
Along with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), the three embark on a journey to literally find God.
“True Blood” alumna Lucy Griffiths will play Emily, a no-nonsense single mother of three, a waitress, the church organist, bookkeeper, and Jesse’s loyal right hand.
Ian Colletti was also recently cast as Eugene Root, aka Arseface.
Rogen and Evan Goldberg are behind the forthcoming pilot based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s masterful cult 1990s comic, which blows away “The Walking Dead” in every way possible.
