There’s a rumor circulating on Twitter right now that Tiger Lab Vinyl will be releasing the Kenji Kawai-composed soundtrack for Ghost In The Shell, the 1995 cyberpunk anime, on vinyl. I’ve reached out to Tiger Lab and they will neither confirm nor deny the rumors, only stating, “You never know what could happen.”
If this rumor does turn out to be true, this will be a major collector’s item for all anime fans. Ghost In The Shell is one of the highest rated anime titles ever released and the soundtrack is held in the highest esteem. However, it should be expressly noted that there is nothing set in stone.
Meanwhile, Tiger Lab is gearing up for their Wicked City release and they are also teasing a new soundtrack, although they have not released the title. A clip that was recorded during the mastering process can be heard below.
