Death Waltz has announced that next week pre-orders will open up for their vinyl soundtrack release of Carlo Maria Cordio‘s Absurd score. The film, which was directed by Joe D’Amato, was also known by the name Rosso Sangue. The 22-track album will feature artwork by Wes Benscoter (Cattle Decapitation) and apparently has embossed intestines.
Death Waltz is teaming up with PentaMusic for this release and the double vinyl release also includes cues from the 1982 splatter film Pieces.
The label writes:
Anyone who is a fan of Rob’s ‘Maniac’ score, or indeed any of the new school synth-based scores such as ‘It Follows’, would do well to check out one of the original synth scores that started it all.
