What’s New in the ‘Dementium’ Remaster

Developer Renegade Kid made an impressive debut back in 2007 with Dementium: The Ward, a survival horror game for the Nintendo DS that was originally pitched as a Silent Hill spin-off until Konami turned them down. The studio announced not too long ago that they would be remastering the game that first put them on the map — and many of our radars — exclusively for the 3DS. Now, we have even more details.

Studio director Jools Watsham turned to Twitter this weekend to share a few of the more impactful changes they’ve made to Dementium. He tweeted: “We’re making these changes to Dementium: Adding manual save spots. Enemies no longer respawn. Adding aim sensitivity option.”

Watsham also teased the possibility that the game might get support for the 3DS’ gyroscopic controls. If it’s a good fit, we’ll see it when Dementium: The Ward returns, in HD, as soon as they’re happy with it.
