Microsoft couldn’t have chosen a better game to use as a bookend for their pre-E3 briefing than Gears of War 4, and because our first impression of it didn’t come from another CG trailer, its surprise debut was made even more memorable.
It’s not slated to release until late next year, but the vertical slice The Coalition (formerly Black Tusk) showed off at the event certainly stood out among the already crowded line-up of games they had packed Tetris-style into that 90 minute-long showcase.
