It’s been too long since I last wall-ran toward an unsuspecting goon so I could jump kick him in the back of his stupid head because I’m a parkour master and while that doesn’t give me a license to kill, it does give me a license to kick… hard. Kicking is but one of a myriad things we can expect to do lots of in Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, which I hear has the most realistic kicking mechanics that have ever been or ever will be in video games.
That’s not true. I’m sure Catalyst has fantastic kicking, but it’ll be tough to beat the full-body dropkick I used to clear countless rooftops of their ghouls in Dying Light.
Did I mention Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is finally embracing its destiny as an open-world game, and that it won’t have loading screens, because Faith doesn’t have time for that last-gen garbage? This means the only wait time it’ll force on us is the one that stands between us and its February 23, 2016 release date.
