[Exclusive] Behind-The-Scenes Look At Gabriel Carrer’s ‘The Demolisher’
Director Gabriel Carrer’s new revenge thriller The Demolisher is set for a world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal on July 27th.
To celebrate the release of the film, Latefox Pictures invited Bloody-Disgusting down to the set to speak with Gabriel Carrer and the cast about the film, and get some behind-the-scenes footage of a hyper-violent scene from The Demolisher that takes place inside an auto body shop. Watch the video online below.
The Demolisher chronicles the story of a man named Bruce (Ry Barrett), an ordinary repairman tormented by a crippling sense of responsibility for his disabled wife Samantha (Tianna Nori), a former policewoman and survivor of a gang-related assault. Bruce’s increasing hyper-sensitivity to the injustice suffered by his wife steers him down a dark path of vigilantism. His rapidly disintegrating mental health, paranoia and overwhelming sense of condemnation, Bruce channels his inner-rage, punishing young woman, Marie (Jessica Vano), and finding refuge in a world of intense violence.

‘Bury the Devil’ Trailer Unfurls Real-Time Possession Horror in Single Continuous Take
One night. One house. One horrifying experience. Nothing stays buried forever in Bury the Devil, a real-time exorcism movie told in a single, continuous take.
We’re exclusively unveiling the new trailer and key art for the real-time nightmare below, ahead of the film’s release in select theaters and VOD on August 21.
Adam O’Brien (Mom) directs from a script by John Petrizzi and Brad Hodson.
When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.
Dawn Ford, Emmanuelle Lussier Martinez, Bill Rowat, and Mark Antony Krupa star.
“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
