Following up their debut Blu-ray/DVD release of Some Call It Loving, Etiquette Pictures will proudly be releasing the Dennis Hopper documentary The American Dreamer on Blu-ray/DVD on September 22, 2015. This is a release that I am beyond excited for! Documentaries on filmmaking always fascinate me because you never know what kind of crazy things go on behind the scenes. The fact that this documentary follows Dennis Hopper is all the more intriguing! If your average Hollywood film set encounters crazy madness on the regular, one can only imagine what went down on a Hopper film set.
Synopsis:

Etiquette Pictures, in partnership with the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, brings this forgotten masterpiece to home video for the very first time in a new, Director approved 2k restoration, painstakingly reconstructed from four 16mm prints housed in the Walker Art Center’s Ruben/Bentson Moving Image Collection. Major support to preserve, digitize, and present this film and the entire Ruben/Bentson Moving Image Collection is generously provided by the Bentson Foundation.
