Remember when I asked “Why Are We So Against Romance In Horror?” Apparently romance isn’t dead, as evidenced by 30-year old Alec Wells, who proposed to his girlfriend Katherine Canipe as Michael Myers, the famed killer of Halloween fame.
Canipe is one half of a duo for the horror podcast Boys And Ghouls and, according to Wells, Halloween is, “…her favorite movie of all time“.
The couple live in Los Angeles, CA and took the opportunity to go to Pasadena, where the original film was shot. It was there that Wells enlisted a few friends to film Canipe as she walked down the street towards what is known as “Halloween Corner”. What she didn’t expect was Wells, dressed from head to toe as Michael Myers, to step around the corner, mimicing an iconic scene from the film. After her initial fear, she walked around the corner to find Wells kneeled down with a ring exposed. As for the rest, you’ll just have to see the video below!
