Coming in mid-October will be the 2xLP vinyl release of Jerry Goldsmith‘s score to the Ridley Scott 1985 fantasy film Legend. What makes this soundtrack so interesting is that we in America only got the Tangerine Dream score with our theatrical release. Keep in mind, I love that score and I still listen to it fairly regularly. But Goldsmith’s score is something wildly different, nearly entirely dropping the electronic synths in favor of a more traditional symphonic approach. Ridley Scott apparently preferred this score to Tangerine Dream’s.
