Anton Arcane – Swamp Thing
I fully realize that Anton Arcane isn’t an original Wes Craven creation (he is based on a DC comics character), but he at least had a part in Aracen’s film incarnation. Swamp Thing is a hilariously awful, yet supremely entertaining, film. Arcane is a goofy villain, and his transformation into a weird werewolf-type creature in the film’s climax is appropriately ridiculous. He’s a textbook comic book villain, and Craven did an excellent job writing him.
