Capcom recently unveiled the first ever stage play adaptation of the Resident Evil series that’s expected to make its debut at Tokyo’s EX Theater Roppongi in late October.
Biohazard: The Stage is a collaborative effort between Avex Live Creative and Ace Crew Entertainment, with editorial supervision from Capcom. The play will follow a BSAA anti-bioterrorisim unit led by Chris and Piers as they investigate an outbreak at an Australian university.
The adaptation will introduce a new character named Tyler Howard, and because the world of Resident Evil is so much smaller than its real world equivalent, former S.T.A.R.S. member Rebecca Chambers will be there too, because she’s a professor now, apparently. There’s certainly more to her being there than that. I think sharing the same second tier status as Helena and Sheva turned her evil, so she’s causing outbreaks to get some damn attention.
