Night Birds “Mutiny at Muscle Beach” Video Premiere (Exclusive)

Bloody-Disgusting has teamed up with punk rockers Night Birds to bring you the exclusive music video premiere for their song “Mutiny at Muscle Beach”, which is the title track of their upcoming album.

Singer Brian Gorsegner tells BD:

A couple years back while Chris was making ‘Call Girl of Cthulu’ he got in touch with us asking if he could use our song “New Cults” in the opening credits of the flick. He said in exchange he would make a music video for us down the line. Little did he know we would have just let him use the tune anyway because we thought being a part of his movie was cool enough! Oh, it’s also worth noting that while we were shooting the scenes where we were tied up there was this huge hornets nest and these Things buzzing around our heads that really helped evoke genuine Terror from a bunch of babies that didn’t want to get stung by a bee.

Make sure to pre-order your copy of Mutiny at Muscle Beach. Also, the band has tons of tour dates throughout the rest of the year, so make sure to see if they’re coming to your neck of the woods!

Director Chris LaMartina adds:

It was rad collaborating with Night Birds because the whole set was full of spirited weirdos with a mutual love of trashy splatter flicks. The dudes brought a maniacal enthusiasm to the whole project and I think that shines through all the analog bloodshed.

The shoot definitely put us in some kooky situations. You can’t help but get some Kathy Bates “Misery” vibes when you’re tying up your favorite band in an abandoned chicken coop out in the sticks. However, I’m pretty sure my knots could have been escaped with a few twists and wiggles. Lucky for the Night Birds, I was not a Boy Scout.
