Variety is reporting that Hard Candy fav Ellen Page is currently in talks to join the remake of the 1990 sci-fi thriller/horror Flatliners, which originally starred Kiefer Sutherland. The Sony film will be directed by Niels Arden Oplev and produced by David Blackman and Laurence Mark. It is scripted by Ben Ripley.
We exclusively announced back in 2013 that Oplev, who directed the Swedish Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, was attached to direct the remake.
The original followed, “…five medical students that attempt to find out what lies beyond death and they conduct clandestine experiments that produce near-death experiences.“
