Variety has confirmed that Samara Weaving (Mystery Road) has landed the lead role in McG’s upcoming thriller/horror The Babysitter. The film is based off a script by Brian Duffield (Vivien Hasn’t Been Herself Lately). McG will also be producing the film.
“The Babysitter follows a twelve-year old boy and his babysitter on a night when things take an unexpected turn for the worst.”
The Babysitter was won by New Line in a bidding war this summer.
