The original Universal Monster Movies are the foundation for nearly all the horror that we see today. They gave rise to monsters that still haunt our dreams and play a vital role in our culture. Therefore, it’s no surprise that there are artists who are using these creatures as the foundation of their works, as evidenced by Nicolas Delort and the absolutely stunning seven-print series that will be released tomorrow.
This set includes brand new posters for films such as The Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolfman, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula, and more. Expertly crafted by hand, these posters hearken back to the glory days of posters that were pieces of art, each one representing a vital scene or theme from the film. Honestly, if I could afford them (and the necessary frames to preserve them), I’d buy all seven and find a way to mount them on my all as a tribute.
These amazing prints, and their variants, will go up for sale tomorrow at 9:30am PST via Dark Hall Mansion.
