Teens sure are stupid. Not you or the ones you like, obviously, but those other teens. The dumb ones. Think of any teen grab ‘n stab flick you’ve seen over the years, because chances are it’s littered with them. Films like the Friday the 13th series should have spread the word by now that it’s not a great idea for teens to isolate themselves on the anniversary of a friend’s death, especially if it’s in a secluded cabin, but they continue to do it.
In the upcoming indie thriller Oxenfree, a gaggle of teens unknowingly stumbles upon a “ghostly rift” while partying on an island with a dark past and, I’m assuming, very poor cell reception.
Oxenfree is slated to release next January for PC and Xbox One.
