Madchild “Brain Dead” Video Premiere [Exclusive]
We’ve teamed up with rapper Madchild to bring you the exclusive music video premiere for “Brain Dead”, which comes from his album Silver Tongue Devil. The video shows Madchild performing in what looks like an abandoned and dilapidated house while cuts of zombie-esque women and violent scenes from movies and interspersed throughout. I don’t know if I’d say this is NSFW but there are definitely some gruesome moments, so I’d exercise some caution on where and when you’re watching this.
Madchild tells BD:
I love this time of year, but I’m always on tour on Halloween so I never have the chance to dress up in costume. I thought it would be cool to create a video with a horror world with a bunch of cool looking zombie chicks. I was in a fairly dark place in my life when I wrote this song and it came out with this slight suicidal overtone to it. Although I would never do anything like that, it was scary to be in that frame of mind at the time and wanted to express how I felt in a song. The song and video is the perfect for Halloween.

A bedtime lullaby soothes an unsettling newborn in our exclusive clip from Nightborn, from Hatching filmmaker Hanna Bergholm.
The dark fable makes its debut on Shudder on July 31.
Seidi Haarla (Compartment No. 6) and Rupert Grint (Knock at the Cabin, “Servant”) star as new parents in Nightborn, and this exclusive clip highlights mom’s harrowing transition into motherhood.
In Nightborn, “With dreams of starting a perfect family, Saga and her British husband Jon move to the isolated house where she spent much of her childhood, deep in the Finnish forest. But as soon as their baby is born, despite the reassurance of all around her, Saga knows there’s something terribly wrong with her son. As their marriage starts to crack, Jon struggles to support his wife, but only Saga suspects the terrible truth about her newborn.”
Pamela Tola, Pirkko Saisio, Rebecca Lacey and John Thomson also star.
Bergholm teased of her maternal horror movie, “In Nordic countries, there’s a long-standing mythology of trolls living in the forests. In ancient times, people truly believed that trolls inhabited the woods and had a kind of control over nature. And in Nightborn, the forest reflects Saga’s emotions and the animalistic, primitive physical side of humankind.”
