Is the ‘Halloween Returns’ “Screen Test” Merely Fan Fodder?
Final update, I swear.
I woke up this morning shocked to see a video claiming to be a “screen test” for the upcoming Halloween Returns, which is to be directed by Marcus Dunstan from a screenplay he co-penned with long time writing partner Patrick Melton.
Now, this alleged Halloween Returns “screen test” was directed by John Michael Elfers – you know, the guy who helmed Gnome Alone – and stars Kristina Klebe from Rob Zombie’s Halloween, as well as Sean Decker as Michael Myers.
Without having talked to anyone regarding the video, yet (it’s 6am in Los Angeles), it appears We have confirmed that this video is nothing more than fan fodder – a video created in hopes of bringing attention to John Michael Elfers Sean Decker. What you’re about to watch is essentially Decker’s “actor reel” in hopes of being cast as Michael Myers in Dunstan’s Halloween Returns. It’s NOT official, but still fun!
Halloween is tomorrow, and we’re all saddened by the news that Halloween Returns has been delayed, again. So, we’re sharing this video in the spirit of the holiday because, well, even thought if it’s just fan-fiction, it’s exciting to see Michael Myers take a stab at Kristina Klebe once again…
Ryan Gosling (Project Hail Mary) has made no secret of the fact that he’d love to play Ghost Rider in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, and it’s now officially happening.
Announced by Marvel out of San Diego Comic-Con tonight, Ryan Gosling will play the iconic Marvel character in a Ghost Rider movie being directed by Shawn Levy!
Expect Ryan Gosling to play Ghost Rider on the big screen in 2028.
Johnny Blaze is of course the most iconic and well-known Ghost Rider, selling his soul to Satan and becoming a supernatural badass. Nicolas Cage brought Blaze to life on screen in both 2007’s Ghost Rider and 2011’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, while Gabriel Luna more recently played the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider in the series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Luna was set to star in his own Ghost Rider spinoff series in the wake of that small screen appearance, but that Hulu project ended up being squashed before it ever had a chance.
Fans have been waiting for Ghost Rider to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe for many years now, with Ryan Gosling making it clear that he’d love to bring the character back to life.
That Hollywood dream is coming true. Stay tuned for more as we learn it.
