Cadabra Records Reveal H.P. Lovecraft Spoken-Word Album Artwork, Pre-order Date

Just over a month ago, we posted about Cadabra Records and their upcoming spoken-word vinyl that will feature two stories from American horror icon H.P. Lovecraft. Now we’re back with two new bits of information.

First, the artwork for the album has been released and it looks beautiful! It has a 70’s/80’s fantasy horror feel to it, featuring a skulled creature cradling a human skull. I know that sounds weird but you’ll just need to see the full image. It was done by Alan Brown and you can see more of his work at his website.

Additionally, pre-orders for the limited release will go live next Thursday, November 12th. The first pressing will see a run of 500 copies on 150-gram vinyl and housed in a gatefold tip-on “old style” jacket, including an 8-page booklet with extensive liner notes and more.

Also offered on the date of presale, an extremely limited run of 100 subscriptions in the Lovecraft In Black series. Here, these albums are individually numbered on exclusive colored vinyl with many extras to be announced. These subscriptions include: The Hound & The Music of Erich Zann LP, The Lurking Fear LP, Pickman’s Model and The Picture In The House LP, Hallowe’en In A Suburb & Others 7″ EP — a collection of seven poems exclusive to subscription, and more, as these titles see release through Cadabra over the coming months.
