We haven’t even had our six episodes of new “The X-Files” episodes and already people are clamoring for more, more, more. The latest rumors that are being bandied about now are that show creator Chris Carter is using the upcoming limited run 10th season as a bouncing point for co-stars Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose to become a new alien-hunting duo, essentially replacing David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, according to TVLine.
Now, it must be stated that Carter doesn’t seem to think this theory holds any water. “Right now I’m focused on doing the show with David and Gillian,” he states. Furthermore, the contracts don’t contain anything beyond the six episodes we’re going to get and they, “…weren’t negotiated that way.”
We still have a few months until the 10th season airs, so why not check out our coverage right here.
