There’s been so much news regarding the upcoming Alien films, including the upcoming sequel Covenant, that it’s hard to keep everything straight. But one of the big concerns that was coming about was the lack of word on Noomi Rapace’s character “Dr. Elizabeth Shaw” and whether or not we’d be seeing her return. After all, Prometheus ended with Shaw taking David’s (Michael Fassbender) head onto a ship where they began their travels to try and find the Engineer’s home planet.
However, talking with Screen Daily, director Ridley Scott confirmed that Rapace would return, although only for a “…minor part“.
We previously reported that Scott plans on making this new Alien film the first in a brand new trilogy, one that will eventually, “…drive into the back entrance of the film in 1979.”
Alien: Covenant is expected to hit theaters on October 6th, 2017.
