The CW is developing yet another genre show, one that hopefully finds its way onto the air.
The cabler is heading to the 1880s with “Transylvania,” a drama project executive produced by Midnight Radio, the team of Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg, who are behind CBS’ summer series “Zoo,” reports Deadline.
In the series, “A headstrong young woman in search of her missing father ventures from NYC to Transylvania where she teams up with a wrongfully disgraced Scotland Yard Detective, and together they witness the births of the most famous monsters and villains in history.”
Sounds like they’re moving in on the success of Hotel Transylvania, although this won’t be animated.
CBS Studios, where Midnight Radio has a first-look deal, is producing. Sterbakov is repped by Gersh and Stone, Meyer & Genow.
