I may be getting older in terms of years but you damn well better believe that I decide what that means in terms of my maturity. I may be in my 30’s but I’ll absolutely allow myself to geek out like I did in my childhood if something excites me enough.
Turns out Legendary CEO Thomas Tull is the same way, especially when it comes to the upcoming Godzilla vs. King Kong project. “I’m juvenile. I wanted to see them fight,” Tull said at Tuesdays’ Business Insider’s Ignition conference, according to Variety. It’s this kind of childish glee that has seen Legendary land such major hits over the past several years, such as Jurassic World, The Dark Knight, and more.
The two titans will each receive their own films before coming to a head in 2020, according to previous reports. Right now, Kong: Skull Island is targeting March 10th, 2017 with Godzilla 2 arriving on June 8th, 2018.
We’re keeping very close eyes and ears on these projects. They’re right up our alley and we’re all big fans of the respective creatures. If nothing else, hopefully these upcoming movies will be tons of fun!
