Well, this came earlier than expected! The full trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows has been released and honestly? It looks like a blast! The first one might have had its faults but it was good popcorn fare and this one looks like it’s going to do that and a whole lot more!
First of all, we get to see Stephen Amell as “Casey Jones”, who is a fan favorite and an utter badass! His mask looks great and he’s got the right swagger and confidence to pull the hockey-obsessed vigilante off.
Then, and this is where it gets really good, we’ve got Sheamus and Gary A. Clark as “Rocksteady” and “Bebop”, both in human and in mutated form! Anyone who grew up watching the TMNT cartoons as a kid knows just how exciting this is and it’s made me feel like a child all over again!
Also, it looks like they’re trying to pay homage to Secret of the Ooze in this trailer with their music choice. SotO had Vanilla Ice’s “Ninja Rap” and this trailer uses Run-D.M.C.’s “It’s Tricky”. Both are catchy as hell rap songs that fit the style of the Turtles perfectly.
