One of the best genre movies of 2015 was Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s mockumentary What We Do In the Shadows, which follows an endearingly unhip quartet of vampires.
Back in August, Clement confirmed to Stuff in New Zealand that a sequel to the vampire mockumentary is in the planning stages, and that it focuses on Rhys Darby’s control-freak werewolf Anton. The werewolves make a hilarious appearance in the movie and set the stage for a sequel perfectly.
A great idea also deserves an equally great title.
“Jemaine [Clement] and I are trying to write a werewolves spin-off,” Waititi told Crave at the ongoing Sundance Film Festival where they’re set to premiere Hunt for the Wilderpeople, further adding that it will “most likely be the next thing” after he completes his Marvel duties. “It’s going to be called We’re Wolves, like ‘We are wolves.’ We’re Wolves.”
