It’s only been 20 years but it has finally happened, Garth Ennis’ “Preacher” (read my review) is now a television series, thanks to Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and AMC.
Fans of the comic now know how different the series, while everyone should have been blown away by how strange and wonderful the concept is.
The new take is going to require patience, as it moves at a much slower pace than the source material; I’ve seen four episodes, and I think it works quite well the way it’s presented (so far).
Next week is a must-see, especially when you see how Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) is saved by Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), while the Preacher also attempts to save the townspeople’s souls.
Check out this first look clip to go along with the promo that revs up the conflict. Seriously, get ready for some serious bloodshed…
