Being an avid toy fan, one thing that’s been missing since we were kids is companies going big. He-Man needed his Castle Grayskull. The Thundercats has their Castle Plun-Darr.
And while all of these modern toy companies are delivering astounding sculpts of highly demanded action figures, what’s always been missing are their dioramas.
NECA has taken the first step in the evolution of toy fandom and discovered a cheap option for us maniacs who need to see the entire world come to life. FOAM. Just months after announcing the life-sized foam Slimer, NECA just broke it wide open with their massive Fossilized Space Jockey from their Alien line.
YUP.
As seen in the 1979 horror classic Alien, this stunningly detailed replica of the Fossilized Space Jockey is perfect as a diorama element and a striking display piece on its own!
It’s perfectly in scale with our line of 7” figures, which means that it’s appropriately massive: two feet long, over 18” tall, and the circular base is 18” in diameter! The Fossilized Space Jockey is made of hand-painted foam rubber and latex with all the details you see in the movie.
Below are shots of what will be another awesome NECA collectible that I literally have no space or money for. Donations anyone?
Ships in December.
