While FX’s sixth season of “American Horror Story”, “My Roanoke Nightmare”, isn’t quite as good as its predecessors, it carries enough mystery to keep this writer checking in each and every Wednesday. That’s more than I can say about last season’s “Hotel”, which I checked out of after just one episode. The main reason – shorter seasons, with “Roanoke” only being 10 episodes long. That’s hitting my short attention span sweet spot.
So, while we’re not even at the halfway point of “Roanoke”, FX is already moving forward with a an undisclosed “top secret” (ha!) seventh season from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
“Ryan, Brad and their team of remarkable writers have done an amazing job of keeping American Horror Story endlessly inventive, shocking and entertaining and we are honored to move ahead with them on the seventh installment,” said Landgraf. “The sustained success through six installments only proves how intensely the series resonates with fans. The “American Horror Story” franchise has won 15 Emmy Awards and dominates FX’s top telecasts of all time. In the p18-34 demo, 12 of the top 15 most-watched FX telecasts in history are AHS telecasts.
“American Horror Story: Roanoke” airs Wednesday nights at 10 PM on FX.
