The creators of FX’s “American Horror Story” promised that this season would be split clean in half past the first five episodes, and now that the fifth episode has come and gone, they sure are making good on that promise. Shelby and Matt Miller survived their harrowing ordeal and the taping of faux TV show “My Roanoke Nightmare” has concluded… or has it?
If you stayed past the end credits tonight you caught a brief teaser for the second half of “American Horror Story: Roanoke,” which you’ll find below, and though it doesn’t appear to give us much of a hint as to where the season is headed next week, we think we’ve got a pretty good idea.
In the 20-second clip, series regular Cheyenne Jackson is being followed by a cameraman, who he tells to not stop rolling under any circumstances. And that’s really it. But the clue to what’s going on here might’ve been dropped back in Episode 3, as picked out by some eagle-eared viewers over on Reddit.
During one of the “My Roanoke Nightmare” interview segments, the voice of the interviewer is heard off camera, and wouldn’t ya know it, fans picked up on the fact that it was Cheyenne Jackson. So Jackson is playing the interviewer of the show within the show, and armed with that knowledge, the teaser suggests the show isn’t quite over just yet.
Could the nightmare now continue for the real Shelby and Matt Miller?
Get your first tease below and tune in Wednesday, October 19th!
