Now that’s one crispy critter.
Last night’s episode of “American Horror Story: Roanoke” was a big one, as it completely changed the course of the new season. With filming of the fictional “My Roanoke Nightmare” now complete, the producers are filming an entirely new series that puts the real people and the re-enactment actors into the cursed house… and as promised, only one will survive.
The basis for the new show within the show is that the producer is trying to get Lee Miller to confess to the murder of her ex-husband Mason Harris, who earlier the season was strung up in the woods and burnt to a crisp. Was it the barbaric work of The Butcher and her clan or did Lee really knock off her ex? I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.
If you blinked during last night’s episode, you might’ve missed a brief appearance from the charred ghost of Mason Harris, who is prowling around the property looking for revenge – suggesting, following the show’s logic, that it was The Butcher who claimed his life. Either way, you barely saw the incredible makeup work in that scene, but now you can.
Over on Facebook, makeup master Bart J. Mixon just posted a behind-the-scenes shot of Mason’s corpse from last night’s episode, noting that he and fellow artist Chris Nelson applied it to the actor. Check it out below, to see what you missed!
