Cartoon Network’s “Regular Show” ended this week, and now I’m dead inside. But there was something intriguing about the final few episodes that I was reminded of while cursing at Twitter.
Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund, voiced the series’ big bad, Anti-Pops (Malum Kranus), also known as “He Who will Erase Us”.
Farewell to @TheRegularShow. One of my favorite gigs ever! I'll miss all the people and voicing eccentric and original characters

I’ve talked about “Regular Show” multiple times on the site, hoping to convince a few of you to give it a chance. It’s shrouded in horror and gives so many nostalgic nods to the 1980s. In fact, Anti-Pops first appeared in an episode titled “The Dream Warrior”.
After being defeated by Pops thanks to the interference of time travelling Mordecai and Rigby, Anti-Pops began to realize the error of his ways in the same time that he and his brother die together to the sun during his brother’s suicide sacrifice to stop Anti-Pops’ terror.
Englund also voiced Season 3’s Stag-Man, a Wendigo that carries arrows on his back.
Here’s some footage of Englund’s Anti-Pops.
