More horror from Blumhouse!
One of the top breakout performances of 2015 came courtesy of Kiersey Clemons in the fresh, relevant, and wildly entertaining Dope. Not surprisingly, Clemons quickly found herself being offered all kinds of roles in big movies, including the upcoming Justice League and The Flash, as well as the Flatliners remake. She’s also just joined the cast of a new horror flick from Blumhouse.
Variety reports today that the rising star will lead the cast of Sweetheart, a survival-horror film being directed by J.D. Dillard (Sleight). Dillard, who co-wrote the script with Alex Theurer and Alex Hyner, will produce alongside Jason Blum and Bill Karesh.
Plot details, for now, are being kept under wraps.
The film has a Spring 2017 start date.
