We all had a pet monster in the ’80s, didn’t we?!
The second season of “Stranger Things” will be available on Netflix this coming Halloween, and it’s set just about one year after the Demogorgon showed up in Hawkins, Indiana. As we spotted in the Super Bowl teaser, a new monster will be arriving in town in Season 2, and speaking with Entertainment Weekly, co-creator Matt Duffer and the cast just spilled some more beans.
We already knew much of what they revealed to the site, such as Will experiencing Upside Down-influenced hallucinations and Joyce Byers having a new boyfriend in the form of an old high school classmate (played by Sean Astin!), but they did reveal some new information as well.
For starters, a new brother-sister duo, Billy and Max (Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink), will join the fun; and Billy doesn’t sound like a character we’ll be falling in love with.
Duffer teased:
Stephen King always has really great human villains. The evil in the real world is often as bad or worse than the supernatural evil, so we wanted to introduce a character like that.
Star Gaten Matarazzo also teased the aforementioned pet that Dustin will acquire:
It’s a little creature I get to bond with. It’s obviously not from this planet or this dimension.
Oh and yes, Eleven is of course still alive.
