This cast just keeps getting better.
Fresh off her incredible performances in “Bates Motel” and The Conjuring 2, THR is reporting today that Vera Farmiga has joined the cast of Trick ‘r Treat director Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters. In the sequel to the 2014 film, Farmiga will play the mother of “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown’s character. Kyle Chandler is the father.
The site notes that Chandler is the hero of the film, playing a scientist.
Ken Watanabe may return, but he has not yet been confirmed.
Rumors suggest that King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan will be in the sequel.
Dougherty wrote the script with Zach Shields.
The film is currently dated for Mar. 22, 2019, with Godzilla vs. Kong set for May 29, 2020.
