Want To Watch 15 Minutes of ‘Don’t Breathe’ Deleted Scenes?

I still haven’t stopped thinking about this movie. Particularly *that* scene.

Most horror fans agreed that one of 2016’s best horror movies was the Fede Alvarez-directed Don’t Breathe, which saw three money-hungry youths break into the home of, well, a dude they were better off not messing with. The intense home invasion film had one of the most batshit bonkers final acts I’ve had the pleasure of seeing in a movie theater, that’s for damn sure.

When the film was released on DVD and Blu-ray, it came packed with 15-minutes of deleted scenes, and they’ve just been uploaded to YouTube for your viewing pleasure. Alvarez has noted that the final cut of the film was intentionally trimmed for optimum intensity, much like he did with his Evil Dead remake, but the deleted scenes do offer some interesting moments.

The deleted content mostly delivers a bit more character development, in particular digging deeper into the relationship between Alex and Rocky, as well as Alex and his father. Keeping these scenes likely would’ve made us more invested in those characters, but it’s hard to want more from the film. At just 88-minutes, it was a lean, mean machine that was pretty perfect.

Check out the Don’t Breathe deleted scenes below.

In addition to Leigh Whannell’s upcoming Universal Monsters movie Wolf Man, Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel) has also joined the cast of Weapons, THR has announced tonight.

Weapons is the new horror movie from New Line Cinema and director Zach Cregger (Barbarian), with Julia Garner joining the previously announced Josh Brolin (Dune 2).

The upcoming Weapons is from writer/director Zach Cregger, who will also produce alongside his Barbarian producing team: Roy Lee of Vertigo and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures. Vertigo’s Miri Yoon also produces.

The Hollywood Reporter teases, “Plot details for Weapons are being kept holstered but it is described as a multi and inter-related story horror epic that tonally is in the vein of Magnolia, the 1999 actor-crammed showcase from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.”

Cregger was a founding member and writer for the New York comedy troupe “The Whitest Kids U’Know,” which he started while attending The School of Visual Arts. The award-winning group’s self-titled sketch comedy show ran for five seasons on IFC-TV and Fuse. He was also a series regular on Jimmy Fallon’s NBC series “Guys with Kids” and the TBS hit series “Wrecked,” and was featured in a recurring role on the NBC series “About a Boy.”

Weapons will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
