Spanning just two years and only two seasons, “The Munsters” may have been a short-lived series, but it proved that a show need not last very long for it to become an icon in the arena of popular culture. The titular characters, despite their spooky appearances, are some of the most beloved in television history; and who the hell was cuter than little werewolf boy Eddie?!
Eddie Munster was of course played by Butch Patrick, who is now 63 years old. And believe it or not, Patrick just reprised the iconic role over 50 years after the last episode of “The Munsters” aired, at a convention in South Carolina. The Mad Monster Party con took place in the town of Rock Hill over the weekend, and Patrick met fans and signed autographs in character as Eddie!
