Netflix orders up more cannibalism for 2018.
With so much genre TV to watch right now, I admittedly haven’t yet gotten around to checking out Netflix’s new series “Santa Clarita Diet,“ which hit the streaming service back in February; Brad, however, dug it quite a bit, writing in his review of the show’s debut season that it’s “a simple, yet charming genre show that’s just good enough for a binge viewing over a weekend.”
If you enjoyed the first season as much as he did, you’ll be happy to hear that Netflix has just announced a second season of the Victor Fresco-created series for 2018. The announcement was made via a fun teaser trailer for the new season, which you can check out below.
In “Santa Clarita Diet”…
Joel (Timothy Olyphant, The Crazies, “Justified”) and Sheila (Drew Barrymore) are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby (Liv Hewson), until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction…but in a good way.
