Killer clown movies are about to become all the rage once the new adaptation of IT (very likely) tops the box office charts later this year. Then again, it’s not like they haven’t already been all the rage for a few years now. The best of the recent clown-centric horror movies was the Eli Roth-produced Clown, which started off as a fake trailer. So hey, maybe there’s hope for this next one.
Self-proclaimed “wannabee filmmakers” Danny & Michael Philippou just released It: McDonald’s Edition, a spoof of the recent IT trailer that replaces Pennywise with an equally creepy clown: Ronald McDonald, of course! But they didn’t just go in and edit the trailer. Rather, they filmed an entirely new one… one that walks a fine line between being hilarious and utterly horrifying.
Just wait until you see what Ronald does with a chainsaw.
If you have young children, ask them to leave the room…
